Tandridge District Council is consulting on its community infrastructure levy (CIL) draft charging schedule (DCS) (5-page / 334KB PDF) with proposed rates of up to £120 per square metre.

The Council launched the DCS consultation last month. It has proposed that residential developments across the district will be subject to a CIL rate of £120 per sq m.

For convenience retail developments, the proposed rate set out in the PDCS is £100 per sq m. A proposed zero rate levy will apply to comparison retail developments. Office developments and all other uses are also proposed to be subject to a zero rate levy.

The rates remain the same as the proposed rates set out in the Council's preliminary draft charging schedule (PDCS) which it consulted on earlier this year.

The consultation is open for comments until 4 October. The Council said it expects CIL to be implemented in the district in the spring 2014.
