The proposals, which have been put forward by Aviva Investors and developer Helical Bar, will deliver a number of buildings across the 12-acre site, including a 32 storey residential tower. The buildings will comprise up to 1,150 new homes, 20,000 square metres of offices, shops, restaurants, cafes and multi-purpose community facilities.
The development site is part of a regeneration area and of the designated White City Opportunity Area in the London Plan and in the Council's Core Strategy.
"White City is in need of regeneration and the application site presents a unique opportunity to contribute towards securing benefits for the wider area through additional housing provision, access to a range of jobs, improved linkages with the wider area, better community and leisure facilities and improved environmental conditions," said the officers in their report.
The Council's planning committee will consider the plans and the officers' report at a meeting on 12 March.
