Soomin specialises in international arbitration and construction matters, and has experience in both dispute resolution and advisory work.

Soomin has acted for clients in high-value international arbitrations arising out of construction projects, shipbuilding, complex commercial contracts and investment agreements under various institutional rules including SIAC, ICC, LMAA and SCCA.

She also advises on infrastructure and energy projects globally. Projects that she advised on include offshore wind farms, waste management facilities, rail lines and stations as well as commercial developments. She has dealt with claims involving variations, site conditions, delays, defects and termination issues and has supported clients with project delivery and dispute resolution across APAC (including Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan) and MENA (including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Morocco).

Soomin is dual-qualified in England & Wales and New York, and a native Korean speaker. Prior to joining Pinsent Masons, Soomin practised at a leading US law firm, where she represented clients in a broad range of international arbitration proceedings and commercial disputes across various sectors.
